AI Analysis: One Year Of Journal Entries

Ladies and gentlemen,

With the help of two different AI models (ChatGPT Code Interpreter and Claude), I analyzed every journal entry from the past year.

I am so glad that I write in my journal every day, because now I get to understand myself much deeper than ever before.

So today, I’ll share a few surface-level insights about myself - with the help of AI, of course.

Myers Briggs

I asked it to hypothesize what my Myers Briggs would be, based on my journal entries…

Introverted (I) - The journaling and self-reflection points to an introverted personality.

Intuitive (N) - References to vision boards, future ambitions, and big picture planning hint at intuitive traits.

Thinking (T) - The strong focus on quantifiable data, metrics, and measurable progress suggests a thinking preference.

Judging (J) - The extensive routine planning, goal-setting, and habit tracking imply a judging preference.

My Take:

INTJ? Right on the money.

Psychographic Analysis

Next, I asked for a psychographic analysis:

Based on the provided journal entries, I can make some inferences about your psychographic profile:

Highly focused on self-improvement, personal growth, and optimization of habits/routines. The extensive journaling, goal-setting, and habit tracking indicates someone very interested in analyzing and improving themselves.

Appreciates quantifiable data and metrics. The detailed tracking of word counts, time spent, and completion of tasks shows someone who values data-driven insights.

Future-oriented mindset. There are many references to ambitions, vision boards, 5-year goals etc. This implies someone focused on planning for and manifesting a desired future state.

Spiritual/religious. There are multiple references to prayer, scripture study, and church attendance. This suggests someone with a spiritual worldview and connection to faith.

Appreciation of nature. The journal entries describe time spent outdoors walking and mentions scenic places. This hints at someone who finds beauty, solace, or inspiration in natural settings.

Interest in language learning. The emphasis on studying Tagalog and attempts to converse with locals highlight someone eager to gain fluency in a new language.

Entrepreneurial drive. Discussions of business deals, revenue goals, social media growth plans etc. reveal someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and ambition.

My Take:

Sounds a lot like me.

Love Language

Then, I asked it to assume my love languages based on my journal entries…

Quality Time

The author seems very focused on spending time journaling, planning, and tracking their habits and goals. They also emphasize family relationships and time with their son. This suggests quality time is an important love language for them.

Words of Affirmation

The author references wanting to receive feedback and approval, and expresses appreciation when complimented. This indicates words of affirmation may be significant.

My Take:

It knows my love languages. It’s rationale for determining them is a little bit off, but it got them right.

Spirit Animal

After that, I asked it to tell me my spirit animal and to justify it with logic and examples:

Phoenix

The phoenix represents renewal, rebirth, and rising from the ashes. Your journal entries convey someone who is constantly striving for self-improvement, setting new goals, and not letting setbacks hold you back. The phoenix's ability to regenerate could parallel your ability to start fresh and evolve.

Bear

Bears represent strength, independence, and introspection. Your dedication to self-improvement physically and mentally, appreciation of nature, and ability to spend long periods focused in solitary activity resonate with bear spirit.

Falcon

Falcons are seen as visionary, ambitious, and able to see the big picture from a higher vantage point. Your future orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, and goal-focused mindset align with the falcon's keen vision and ability to spot opportunities.

Overall, animals that symbolize solitude, wisdom seeking, fortitude, and rising to greater heights seem most fitting based on the themes in your writing. But ultimately your spirit animal is something only you can know - this is just my interpretation based on the glimpses into your psyche shared through your journals.

My Take:

I’ve always thought that I was more of a mountain lion, but I’ll consider these too.

This was just a fun little exercise to show you a few of the different ways AI can be used for introspection.

But now, I am going to take it much much deeper, but those responses are for my eyes only.

Until next week,

-Cliff
