The Gold Bar Mindset
How to Be Unshakeable When Faced with Rejection
Hello Dear Friend,
If you ever struggle with rejection, whether it be in your work or in your personal life, then this letter is for you…
When I first got into sales, I was selling cars and then pest control door-to-door. I knocked on thousands of doors and for a long time, I was shaking with fear. I was incredibly afraid of being rejected. It would make me anxious all day, and after being rejected, I’d always feel discouraged.
Eventually, I realized that the solution had NOTHING to do with being better at dealing with rejection; it was about knowing that what I was offering had value and making sure others understood that. If they rejected me, it wasn't a reflection of me or the service; it was a reflection of them.
Which leads me to the core topic of today’s letter…
The Gold Bar Mindset

A while back, I found a video of a man giving out 1 oz bars of gold on the side of the street. You could tell that he had no fear of rejection. Why? Because he knew that what he was offering had immense value.
Their rejection didn't reduce the value of the gold.
You see, when you truly believe in the value of what you have to offer, you become unshakeable in the face of rejection.
This mindset can be applied not just in sales, but in all aspects of life, from personal relationships to pursuing your passions.
How To Cultivate The Gold Bar Mindset
Know your worth: Get rock solid on the value that you are bringing to the table, whether it's a product, service, or even your own talents and abilities. Start by recognizing the value you provide and focus relentlessly on INCREASING your value.
Learn from rejection: When faced with rejection, reflect on the experience and use it as an opportunity for growth. This helps you cultivate resilience.
Focus on the right audience: Not everyone will see the value in what you offer, and that's okay. Focus your efforts on those who will appreciate and benefit from it.
Remember, we live in a world filled with judgment. You will constantly face it, and if you let it get to you, it will hurt. But by cultivating the Gold Bar Mindset, you can remain unshakeable in the face of rejection and continue to pursue your goals with confidence.
And just so you know - to me, you are worth all the gold in the world.
All the best,
Cliff
